Joshua Home was founded to create and advocate for permanent Gender-Inclusive housing solutions and opportunities, supportive services, and programs for Homeless LGBTQ+ Youth in the Inland Empire of Southern California. We are committed to ending LGBTQ+ youth homelessness in the Inland Empire.
Joshua Home is a safe haven that provides personalized programs for at-risk LGBTQ+ youth aged 12 to 24 who may be homeless, in foster or group homes, or in the foster care or juvenile justice systems. Our goal is to foster positive self-awareness, academic development, independent living skills, sustainability, and conflict resolution for each individual youth in a safe, stable, empowering, and loving home environment.
At The CENTER @ Joshua Home, we provide a range of services and programs that are designed to support LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness in the Inland Empire as they build the skills and resilience they need to achieve their goals and live fulfilling lives. Through our team and community partners, we work to ensure that our young people have access to the resources they need to survive and thrive!

- Families play a critical role in the lives of LGBTQ+ youth, and we are committed to supporting parents as they navigate the challenges of raising LGBTQ+ children. That's why we offer a parent mentoring service to help parents build the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to support their LGBTQ+ children.

- We offer life skills development workshops and classes to help young people build the practical skills they need to live independently. Our program includes financial literacy, cooking and nutrition, gardening, job readiness and other essential life skills.

- Basic Needs Support and Housing Solution
- Permanent gender inclusive housing solutions and supportive services in the Inland Empire of Southern CA. Meeting basic needs is a critical first step in helping LGBTQ+ youth who are experiencing homelessness. That's why we provide essential resources to young people in need, including clothing, personal hygiene items, and other essential resources to ensure that our young people have access to the resources they need to survive and thrive..
- Community Outreach & Drives: Partnered with regional groups like SBC Black Pride to host wellness days, distributing brand-new shoes, backpacks, and hygiene kits. Drop-In & Material Support: Maintained operation of The CENTER @ Joshua Home in Colton, providing free clothing closets, meals, and academic/job referrals.
- Outreach Expansion: Rolled out specialized mobile and backpack resource outreach programs covering the Inland Empire to supply street-level essentials to unaccompanied minors.
- Community Outreach & Drives: Partnered with regional groups like SBC Black Pride to host wellness days, distributing brand-new shoes, backpacks, and hygiene kits.

We are excited to add a very needed resources outreach program to Joshua Home's services! This program will be available for any unaccompanied homeless youth in the Inland Empire, covering San Bernardino and Riverside counties. The mission of Joshua Home Resources Outreach program is to serve all homeless youth, beginning in the Inland Empire. We provide unaccompanied youth of all ages with needed resources and services to keep them safe, healthy and informed while on the streets. JHROP offers programs and services in a safe environment to each youth; allowing for time-off the streets during non-sleeping hours (day), that include counseling, tutoring, academic assessment and placement, independent living skills, sustainability and job training and referrals, and recreational activities. Youth will receive clean clothes, shoes, personal hygiene products, sleeping bags, nonperishable foods and water in JH Backpacks, along with a current resources list of assistance in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.
Target demographics:
LGBTQ+ youth ages 12-17/18-24 who are homeless, in foster or group homes or in the juvenile justice system.
